Question about the parents (spoilers)
I liked the movie but I have a question: Were the parents dead or alive? If they were alive and disabled and couldn`t move, who was feeding them for years? Or did I miss something??

I had the same question.
Were they alive, but severely disabled via stab wounds to their face and brain?
Were they dead, but kept alive by Seth as an illusion or delusion to fool Jonah?
Were they dead, and both Seth and Jonah knew the whole time, but Jonah just couldn't cope with the reality?
I think they where both dead and Seth and Jonah knew the whole time.When there's no more room in hell, The dead will walk the earth...
I think they were alive. If you watch, you can see their eyeballs move. They were both disabled from stabbing and cutting each other and probably disabled by the delusions and delusional thinking created by the kids...
shareThey had to have been alive, the boys cut them when they were five, they would have been badly decomposed if they were just killed! Instead I think the twins incorporated feeding, dressing & caring for them into part of their own crumbling delusions.

I think the dinner scene- where it was still an illusion of perfect- shows that the boys do 100% of everything for their parents. I would assume that over the years, they just have become frozen from fear and injury, etc.
Still not sure how, even with lots of family money, these two managed to live on their own, essentially, for the last 12 years or so. The house was a mess, but there is a lot more to living than cleaning.
