Hah, isn't it the joy of life to speak something we truly believe to be true, and lean on internet to find 'credible facts'... I more than once found uncontested facts that smoking is not at all hazardous for health.
See, living in ex-Yugoslavia gives everyone another perspective on the atrocities that happened during the last decades. Yet, it doesn't fall within logical margins, that the criminals tried for war crimes and crimes against humanity at Hague Criminal Tribune (not only Kosovo, also in Bosnia) can be at the same time victims at the same time, does it? They were simply to busy torturing unarmed civilians. (Oh, sorry, I forgot: internet sources are the revelation of truth, here's some links to satisfy you: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/4797564.stm (Butcher of Balkans), http://www.guardian.co.uk/law/2010/jun/10/hague-bosnian-serb-srebrenica-genocide1 (worst massacre in Europe since the Nazis), http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/karadzic/ (World's Most Wanted Men), http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ratko_Mladi%C4%87#Daughter.27s_suicide (Ratko Mladic profile - sad fact to check is that HIS DAUGHTER committed suicide after learning what horrors her father was committing)
So yes, believe it or not, certain members of Serbian paramilitary forces have done things no horror movie can ever describe. And that is quite a true story (according to some millions direct eyewitnesses you can find scattered around Balkans)
Now, I lived through the atrocities of the violent break-up of Yugoslavia, and had my family members killed, been discriminated beyond ridicule, expelled from home - yet all along I never blamed an entire nation for the genocides that their fellow countrymen committed. Neither Milosevic, nor Mladic, Arkan, or hundreds of thousands hounds responsible for the worst crimes since Nazis -represent the Serbian population. Because I also have lived through peaceful and constructive times with Serbian mates, who agree that no matter what, violence is never the answer and is never excused.
For those who still disagree, and believe that covering responsibility with offensive untruths, trying to put facts of hate before reality, putting racism and discrimination before proper 21 century emancipation, I'd like to believe that the message of constructiveness has not reached them yet from their brethren, or worse yet, they refuse to acknowledge that we should move on, yet responsibility will always remain.
So please, let's let art and movies out of political margins: we already have enough of it on news and our everyday life!!!
