The actor playing Frank?

He's not listed in the credits, he must have wanted to disassociate himself with this atrocious movie!

Frank is played by the relatively unknown jobbing actor Andrew Martin

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0551911/?ref_=fn_al_nm_5

Martin seems to have had a few minor roles of the order of "Policeman No.2" or "Business Man at Dinner" in smaller Australian movies (a description a little similar to Tobias Funke of Arrested Development who sought out roles such as "Frightened Inmate" and "Confidence Man 2"). Martin is hardly a household name and, at best, would be a vaguely familiar face to Australian audiences as a minor player on TV or commercials. I don't think there was any attempt to distance himself from this eminently forgettable movie (although he would be wise to, despite it being a relatively significant role for him)but rather IMBD has not provided a full list of the credits.

Some of the reviews here are quite vitriolic, yet I am equally surprised by some of the positive external reviews. I could not even describe the film as harmless. It really is a hopeless forgettable melodrama mainly involving people who have been in Australian soaps such as Neighbours or Home and Away. It certainly has the two most wooden leads I have seen in a long, long time in Spencer McLaren (who is also one of the producers of this mess) and the aforementioned Andrew Martin. It says something if Shane Jacobson is the most appealing personality in the production (and anyone who has seen Charlie and Boots will be familar with the limits of his abilities). The script, acting and cinematography of this extended Neighbours episode is extremely stilted, awkward and bland. Even the obvious attempts at humour, such as copying an element of Muriel's Wedding with the sub-plot of a "kooky" bride and her bridesmaids, were transparently thin and fell flat. I am not sure why anyone would bother with this film at all (I had never heard of it before and saw it recently on late night TV - on a Sunday morning actually - and only stuck with it as I was intrigued to see how bad it could get, after reading some of the negative reviews)

OMG! I really cannot remember watching this movie at all! It must have been that bad that I must have blocked it from my memory! I can't even remember this Frank character that I posted about. I generally have a good memory when it comes to movies, both good and bad. Oh dear, it wasn't even that long ago. I really don't want to waste another couple of hours of my life, but I might have to sort it out to try and remember how bad it was!
