Not Bad, Not Great

I've liked Bill Maher's comedy for a long time, so I was excited when I saw that he had a new stand-up special. On the whole I thought it was all right- great delivery/timing, etc., but my main problem was that all his stand-up material had been taken from his late talk show Real Time with Bill Maher.

This stand-up special came on during the hiatus of his talk show, but nearly all the jokes were familiar so they lacked that punch of being brand new that makes Maher's comedy great.

I'd recommend this stand-up special to anyone who doesn't watch his talk show, but if you do watch the show you can catch a few clips of New Rules on youtube and it'd be the same material.
