Franklin + Swatello are hilarious together!

They have great chemistry and their comic timing is excellent! More scenes for them please, just take away the Heather Lockmouth screentime

This is exactly the kind of love/lust interest the show should have had in the first place instead of the horrible Aussie beach girl & Bash pairing. Boring doesn't even begin to describe that one, great that it's over.

Agreed completely. She may be more serious in the courtroom, but she's got the same type of dry wit and sarcasm that F&B do, so she fits in with the boys very well. I really enjoy her on her own a lot, but playing off Franklin is even better.

Hope she becomes more of a regular next season.

Couldn't you do something less drastic than sleeping with her? Couldn't you just kill her?

I don't think that's very likely, since she's now a regular on Grimm. Of course, anything can happen on that show and she could be killed off or whatever, freeing her to return to F&B.

I have to say though, I don't miss the Adalind character all that much. I'd surely take her over Charlie, but if any of Peter's former flames returns, I keep hoping for the cop he dated last season. I liked her a lot. She was another one who could hold her own with their antics and humor.

Wait, Claire Coffee's still on Grimm?
I gave up on that show early in the first season, and I assumed her character would be killed off pretty soon.

reply

Not at all, she has a pretty big plotline.

Maybe give it another try? Grimm has improved, the ensemble cast and the writing are better now.

I remember the exact moment I bailed: It was when they find a car with a corpse inside that's been chewed by rats, and one of 'em crawls out of the mouth.
I've got a rat phobia, so...

reply

Oh man that was an awful episode. That's the one where the kid was a DJ or something, and controlled the rats/mice with the music, wasn't it?

Yeah, the show is MUCH better than that now, for sure.

reply

Ohhh, I didn't stick around long enough to find out who was controlling them!

I fixed it for you. Sorry, I just found it amusing that you referenced Claire Coffee's as her character's name from a different show.

reply

Haha, whoops!! I totally did! I clearly had Grimm on my mind writing that post, I didn't even notice. Good catch.

I am hoping for her to become a regular as well. It was about time that Whitney was cancelled, what a P.o.S.

Totally agree, Swatello has the same dry sense of humour and wit that F&B share. It was brilliant when she mouthed "You love me" and Franklin completely lost the plot

With Lockmouth and Charlie gone (and I seriously hope they are not just teasing us), the dynamic of the show will be back on track.

I kind of hope it's more like a recurring role, I think it keeps the tension a llittle tighter.

Those two are like cats. You can't if they're fighting, *beep* or just fooling around.

With Charlie showing up where she did in "Shoot to Thrill" there's a new dynamic going on. And I'm kind of happy thathe made what I hope is a guest role. Did he make the credits? (Vaugness for antispoilers)

Yeah, Franklin and Swatello was one of the highlights for me this season.

I tried watching Grimm, but I hated the fact that the main character kept lying to his wife and his partner. I don't know...that just annoyed me. Did the show ever change that or is the main character still lying to them and keeping them in the dark?

reply

No, Hank and Juliette know everything now, but they are all lying to their friend Sgt. Drew Wu the same way Nick lied to the others, but again it seems like that is about to change.
Claire Coffee's character is a recurring antagonist in the series and plays a fairly central role in the most recent season, which is itself reason enough to watch.
