Is Pindar aka Kumali leaving???

I know Pindar is a very very hate it or love it character.. I personally like him, and the actor/comedian behind him. But I noticed he's a part of the new Mike Judge HBO show "Silicon Valley". Is he leaving Franklin and Bash or will be he juggling both?

reply

Think both he and the other gal ) blanked in her name) both are gone I think. Bummer

reply

I just noticed he's not listed on the cast for this year (according to imdb at least). That's a true shame, he took some time to grow on me, but absolutely love the character.

reply

Yep.

Pindar and Carmen are both gone. I'm not liking the new direction of the show. Franklin and Bash are at their best when played off against foils, and all of their foils have been cut out of the show. Having them be in charge takes away from their wacky anti-establishment charm.

reply

I definitely agree. The only character I am glad to see gone is the one played by Heather Locklear.

reply

I'm glad Locklear is gone (she was HORRIBLE!) but I am shocked and dismayed that Carmen and Pindar are gone. Also, I am NOT liking this new guy/detective. He's awful!

reply

I think we can see that there will be plenty of characters to play off of.

Both Pindar and Carmen had fallen so far in the background as to become baggage.

As for F&B losing their anti-establishment charm, where you watching the season opening at all?

It's not what a movie is about, it's how it is about it.
RIP Roger Ebert

Agreed. They've whitewashed the cast and show is way less interesting because of it. Time to cancel this series on my DVR...oh well

reply

YES!!! HE'S GONE!!!! I'VE HATED HIM FROM THE START!!!

The Pindar character was one of my top reasons for watching the show. The writing choices for him were funny and it kept the show from feeling predictable. I realized half way through this episode that Kumail was not going to be in the show any longer and lost much of my desire to even finish the episode, let alone continue with the season.

But I agree with the others, the loss of Locklear is a positive for the show.
