I actually think he planned to kill Deeds and take off with all the money. I don't think he planned to kill Bob, nor do I think he cared if Deeds ended up killing Bob.

shareMarv was going to kill Deeds. He lined his trunk for that specific purpose. The robbery was the longest of long shots for a desperate man. I think he knew the capabilities of BOB and the chances that Deeds would be able to get over on Bob was part of his long shot play.
shareYeah, he was definitely going to kill Eric. He mentions in one scene to another guy he worked a robbery with to get in his car and when the guy refuses he asks him, "What? You think I got my trunk lined with plastic?" as if the other guy shouldn't be fearful of being killed. That's Marv's thing. Before he kills someone he lines the trunk of his car with plastic for transporting the body. He does this just before he goes out to pick up Eric from the The Drop robbery with Bob. So yeah, if the robbery had succeeded than Deeds would have died and Bob would have taken off with all the money.
