This is the kind of movie I typically wouldn't enjoy - or even bother to watch at all. But I stumbled upon the opening scenes and I couldn't stop watching. I just couldn't take my eyes of Tom Hardy. He. Is. Amazing. I already feel like watching it again just to see his performance again. He did such an amazing job with this sensitive, intriguing part.

I became a massive massive fan of Hardy before watching this. I didn't want to watch it initially too because these types of films aren't my 'cup of tea'. I did give it a try due to liking 'RocknRolla'. I was the same too when it started, I was glued to him and I loved every moment of the film but i was so imprsessed his acting and I adored his sweet character that he portrays...
On a side note too I've watched every film that Tom HARDY has featured in from 2006 and this is in my top 3 films of all time

He was good but Schoenaerts and Gandolfini were so much better (both great actors)
shareI haven't seen Gandolfini in anything else and I didn't care about him in this movie, but I agree that Schoenaerts was great, along with Hardy. You couldn't even tell that Schoenaerts is actually from Belgium.
shareI have to disagree here. I was mesmerized by Tom Hardy's performance. To me, the rest of the cast was good but Tom was phenomenal.
shareTotally agree; not my kind of movie, turned this on about 15 minutes in and was mesmerized by Tom Hardy's performance that I couldn't stop. All the acting was terrific and good story, but Hardy stole it.

Agree Hardy was great. Also became a fan after the Drop though I had seen Mad Max
previously.
The rest of the cast was very good as well which turned a small movie into one that I always stop and watch when on.
I like to watch movies when using the treadmill. Do not know if I would do it otherwise.
Yes Hardy was excellent as usual.
