Abduction, who was abducted?

Found this movie to be awful and terribly lame but still wondering at the title choice...who was abducted? He was not kidnapped as a child as much as relocated, the girl went with him willingly when they ran and the bad guys never caught him...so why is this called Abduction?

Did you see the film deanbriss? Or are you just defending Taylor's shytty work because you own a 'Team Jacob' t-shirt? Please explain how my question is ridiculous, who the h3ll was 'abducted' in this film? And in case you are too much of a 'Dipshyt' to know, here is the word 'Abduction's definition:
Abduction (noun); The action or instance of forcibly taking a person or persons away against their will.

Your question is not ridiculas, it is simply incorrect.

Well Nathan was going to be abducted by the Russian.

What is the matter with all of you people? Did none of you actually watch the film at all? Nathan saw his photo on a missing child website, and assumed that he had been abducted. The truth was stranger than that.

"It's because Dipshyts like you will have a reason to come on here and ask ridiculous questions like that."

^^that was pretty much the stupidest response anyone could have ever come up with on this thread. Congrats deanbriss!

I wondered the same myself. There was no abduction in this movie, or its history.
And, to the other reply, it's always fair to ask an unanswered question (without stupid dorks like you adding your wise-ass comments).

the cloest I can come is because he stumbled across his picture on a missing kids website, granted it was a trap by the bad guy.

"Cool story bro."

^Do you know what a story is? Or was that just you saying something totally clever and not as typical as an Asian chick holding up the peace sign with her head tilted slightly to the side in a photo?

The OP is correct, there was no abduction in the movie.

Turns out - the first of many plot holes was the title!!

Maybe it was meant to be tongue in cheek. The audience was abducted.

Yeah, my cash was abducted along with two hours of my life.

I don't understand who was abducted either, I don't think anyone on this entire board knows...What even happened at the end? I don't even know, poor poor ending to another Hollywood action film.

He thought he was abducted by his parents. He found his picture on a website for abducted children, which was set up in hopes to lure him in. How is this a plothole? It was explained pretty clearly.

I think it may have been named this way, because the main character believed he was abducted. That's the only link to the title I can come up with.

It was called Abduction because Taylor was engaged in the act of bringing his fine abs to the screen.

This is exactly the reason. It was also spelled out pretty forcefully, so it's shocking that so many can't find the link. There wasn't anything that intelligent or complex about this film, but I do feel embarrassed for the ones who still miss basic details and cry about the title being a 'plot hole.'

reply

His childhood was abducted. Even though he wasn't technically "abducted", his childhood and everything that he thought was the truth was taken away from him.

reply

I think you're looking too deeply into a movie that is as shallow as something extremely shallow.
