I don't know how to link the article, but Entertainment Weekly online posted an article explaining the background for the cameo.

No thanks. I won't waste my time. Even if it was justifiable and made sense, they boned it up so badly with that poorly rendered CGI zombie with a fake voice that nobody even cares. SNOOZE! Hawaii 5-0 sucks.
