I normally don't comment on other people's petitions; I usually just either sign them if I agree or pass if I don't. But I can't on this one. I could see if you gave a reason for being against the dog meat industry (like restaurants that serve dog meat as a delicacy to rich tourists and purposely scare the dogs before killing them because adrenaline makes the meat tastier). But you didn't.

Not everyone is lucky enough to live somewhere where they can have enough food/money to feed and care for themselves and their families and for a pet too. In some of those places what we would consider a pet might be the only meat they can afford to provide to their children. Who are we to tell them they can't? What right do we have to do that?

Btw, it's not animal cruelty to kill animals (even ones we consider pets) for food as long as it's done humanely. Otherwise it would be animal cruelty any time someone eats a burger, a chicken breast, or bacon.
