Why such a low score!?

I didn't see the first episode, which is the one most people seem to be complaining about, but I just watched the one with Henry Rollins guest starring, and it was absolutely hysterical! The plotting was just as pitch-perfect as any episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm I've ever seen and the situations Paul gets into are every bit as absurdly hilarious as the kinds of thing Larry David gets himself into. Sure it's not "original" per se, but it's more Curb, and who the hell doesn't want more Curb? I thought Henry Rollins was hilarious, I hope he shows up a lot in this series. His character is sort of like Ted Danza's in Curb.

Rollins delivered his usual stiff and lifeless acting. I actually like Rollins, but he will never be a good actor. Between this attempt, his horrid character attempts on Sons of Anarchy and Californication, he disappoints. He may get roles, but he doesn't deserve them.

He was pretty good in "Feast." I'm not being facetious, his role in that was actually pretty damn funny.

I haven't seen that one. Thanks for the tip, I'll check it out.

I should warn you, it is a pretty gore slapstick movie, so definitely not for everyone. Still, its play on expectations is actually pretty clever, and Rollins as a motivational speaker is such a contrast that it's chuckle-worthy.

I want what ever you were smoking the night you saw this "hysterical" show. Plant.
