But I think they uglied her up. She had an unflattering middle part in her hair and makeup was probably subtly used to unflatter her on purpose. They didn't want the character attractive.
It worked ....the ugly part that is... my husband asked who she was as he found her, with the makeup and hair so awful, he cheered when she got shot! Not too many costume changes here, they must have saved a tonne of money!

I totally agree that the make up, the curls in the hair and omg...those lips! What sane person would have given this make up queen her position... totally unbelievable in my opinion. Maybe her plastic surgeon made her an ugly skank!
shareI will always love Vera and I don't think she was ugly in this, but yes a) too much make-up, especially on the eyes, and b) she didn't smile once, which is one of her biggest charms.

Sorry, but the make up was just awful, and I do think she has had the lips or some fillers...Really! The hair was just what any professional woman who is in control would wear. I think the director didn't want her or hated the women in this film, even the young woman looked pretty bad with the eye lids almost black and the lips kept changing from red to redder.
