I have questionable taste...

...especially when it comes to rom coms, where I suspend any pretension to critical thinking, so I do enjoy this movie. The stars (whom I assume Garry Marshall blackmailed into appearing) all seemed to have put in an effort a bit beyond phoning it in. (Ashton Kutcher, less so: but his character called for him being a New Year Grinch, so I guess I can give him a Cindy Lou Who pass)(but feeling zero chemistry on his romantic pair-up with Lea Michele).

It's derivative of Love, Actually, but nevertheless was pleasurable to watch while I was getting ready for my own NYEve-lish celebration. Halle Berry was very effective in her part. Her hands on the screen, at the end of her scene, were heartbreakingly eloquent. (And that red dress was slammin'! Whoa, give me her figure & I will rule the world!)

My fav scenario, however, is Michelle Pfeiffer & Zac Efron. The resolution list trip around NYC is irresistible eye candy. Both actors: adorable, & perfectly played off what could have been a touch of an icky plotline. Their dance to Pink's Raise Your Glass in the penultimate scene made me turn the volume high & dance! Absolutely the perfect way to begin my NY celebration.
