If you have to change a story this much to make it a movie, just make a different movie and give it a different name. Why are the Harry Potter movies so popular? They stayed close to the books. Adding another character to this story completely ruined it for me.

When you take a book with two characters and turn it into a love triangle, I wouldn't call that minor. Truthfully the actors all did a good job, esp Margot. But it strayed too far for me adding another person.
