If this is for real then I am super excited. I love the French Asterix movies with real people! Keep them coming! ;)

I´m with you, LOVE french humor.. if only Christian Clavier would return as Asterix, the other guy was okey, but Clavier IS asterix! :)

Yes, I am also excited!
And I agree, Christian Clavier has maybe a big ego, but he is damn good actor and just perfect for the role of Asterix.

Clovis Cornillac was terrible as Asterix in the last movie, his performance was boring - he ruined the "Asterix at the Olymopic Games" movie for me, sorry.

I know that good actors supposedly can embody any kind of characters but then... Edouard Baer as Asterix?¿?!? To me Edouard Baer is like the epitome of the suave, sophisticated, slow in action but quick-witted 21st century man... and Asterix is this kind of punchy, energetic, somewhat rough, little guy...
It just doesn't work for me. Why can't they just find some French version of Joe Pesci or something like that? Baer just doesn't fit the bill...at all!!!

Are these movies good? IMDb shows four or five of them (this one being a remake of Asterix in Britain from 1986 or so).

They are enjoyable and made for children ofcourse.
The one with Cleopatra is the best, because it has a few adult jokes in it.
Visually they are impressive movies to see as well.
