If this show was on in the 90s....

I can imagine how much more funny the show would be. Then the show would have lasted about 5 to 6 seasons.

Before even opening this thread I imagined that if this show was in the 90's it would have made Season 6 as well lol. However I give this show credit, 104 episodes is not too shabby at all especially these days. TV has changed so much over the years and sitcoms don't work very often especially when it comes to ones on ABC family. Of course there are ones that can be successful but not as much as in the 90's. So when I saw that this reached 104 episodes in 4 seasons, I thought that they did very well, that's roughly 5 seasons if each season was 20 episodes.

On a side note I'm so blown away with how dramas these days are so dwindled each season. Melrose Place was on for 7 seasons but they did 207 episodes. These days Seasons have roughly 22 episodes if the show is successful so if that was the case these days then out of the 207 episodes, Melrose Place reached about 10 seasons lol. All actors work hard and do great jobs but yeah TV is definitely different, a season had 32 episodes in a season and now its anywhere from 13-22 episodes, I definitely miss the 90's lol.

Melrose Place is a different situation though. Aaron Spelling dramas normally always had more than 22 episodes a season. Other dramas from the 90's didn't have 30 or more episodes like that a season. Aaron made a name for himself in the 70's and it continued through the 90's with 90210 and Melrose Place. The only time Melrose Place was even good was during the last half of season 2 through the first half of season 5. The more episodes the show had a year the more ideas they used that would have been better off in the later seasons. In the end for serialize dramas like Melrose Place, it's not always a good thing having a huge amount of episodes a season. The quality does suffer after awhile.
