Is it really true?

Is it really true? That there has been no interviews with this guy Salinger? I was looking at a whole bunch of videos on YouTube, and there are lots of docs on the guy, and lots of people doing his stories or parts of stories as little films/plays. But no interviews of Salinger. Is it really true that Mike Wallace, who back in the 50's interviewed such iconic figures are Rod Serling and Ayn Rand, NEVER interviewed J.D. Salinger? I mean nobody has him on film? I know he decided to go in hiding when his "The Catcher in the Rye" got so popular, but before that happened, certainly he would have wanted to talk about his writing with someone on camera. Or at least an audio recording on a radio program of some kind. Maybe I just haven't found it yet.

Almost no interviews. Especially when you consider he went into seclusion in '55, and never published after '65. Since publicity and fame from writing is not what he sought, there is no reason for him to have done interviews.
