Hey, HBO, don't you get it? This $hit ain't funny...

...and neither was that other POS Summer Heights High.

Some people may love this off-beat Aussie stuff, hence the 7.7 and 9.0 ratings, respectively, BUT most people don't--hence the cancellations. Stop trying to foist these comedians on us, we don't think they're funny here in the states. there's a different comedic culture here--get over it.

Speak for yourself. This the funniest ingenius show on television. Get Ready he has another one coming...or hey you could just stop watching...now that's an idea.

I'm American and love Angry Boys and I loved Summer Heights High. If you don't like Chris Lilley's style, that's cool, but obviously there are enough people who like his stuff that HBO knows they have an audience here in the good old USA.

I'm not sure what you mean by "hence the cancellations". Who canceled what?

I watched many episodes. I'm very impressed with his impersonation skills, but I find the series like a bad SNL skit... not funny.

Try not watching. That should help you out.

It's funny because there are "poop and fart jokes" in this show.

Dude, that's cool if you don't get it, maybe you have a friend that can let you in on the the joke, however, none of his shows have been canceled on HBO. The shows just run their course. In fact I Angry Boys is only supposed to be a one season show. BTW, Chris is pure genius!!!

You're right this show is complete garbage. I gave it a try for about 3 episodes and all I could think of is that Lilly needs lessons from Eddie Murphy on how to impersonate characters to make them humorous. This stuff has been done too many times before to be funny anymore. Unless you can do something authentic which this guys does none of. When I think of low budget “tongue and cheek” shows like this one; I find the trailer park boys has far more creativity and I’m not a huge fan of that show either but at least I get a laugh here and there from that show.

I to came here hoping for news on a cancel date and a low rating but like the ones here post just don’t watch it which I won’t and instead cancel HBO while you’re at it since their show quality is way down now.

this gets 7.7 raiting
Holy crap that actully pretty good

I kind of liked it, but very hit and miss like most improv type stuff.

Yes, because what we really want is another Friends or Seinfeld. Please do not take that as a serious statement.

Some of us are sick of the "normal" sitcoms and find this refreshing. There's a lot of stuff on HBO I don't like. There's even more on TV in general that I dislike. Generally I just don't watch stuff I dislike.

I watch Angry Boys because it is different and I think it's funny. Jeebus - it's only 30 minutes long and there are about 12 other HBO feeds coming through the cable at any given moment. And I'm pretty sure you can watch shows like Friends or Seinfeld on a dozen other channels if that's your thing. Quit yer biatching.

I'm mostly with you. However, do not lump Seinfeld in with Friends and other garbage sitcoms on TV. Yes, Angry Boys is refreshing and funny compared to a lot of the crap on TV these days. However, Seinfeld was similarly refreshing for its time.

I'm American and absolutely love Chris Lilley and ALL of his shows. And the above poster is correct that none have been cancelled, they are all just 1 season shows! I get that the humor is much different to USA humor, and frankly, that's why I like it! Can't believe there are still people on this earth who think just because THEY don't like something, it must mean no one else does either. I feel sorry for the people in the OP's life...

TCMonte2, I think you're confused about something. You see, the other 299,999,999 citizens of the United States discussed the possibility of letting you speak for all of us. Some liked the idea and some didn't. We had quite a vigorous debate over it but could not reach a consensus.

Sorry about that.
