House of Horror Movie Cliches

This movie should have been called House of Horror Movie Cliches. Although I don't mind a few jump scares, this movie was clearly milking the cliche teats to a bloody chafing.

-Jump Scares (of the ghosts and just random people).
-Always having to investigate EVERY bump and creak in the house.
-Doors conveniently locking themselves.
-Doors magically opening.
-Toys springing to life at the right moment.
-Seeing a ghost, something distracts the character, then when he looks back the ghost is gone.

Were they trying to cash in on Radcliff's fanbase?
