Am I the only one that falls asleep watching this?

I think this was my 3rd time trying to watch this movie in full and it puts me to sleep each time! I applaud the movie for it's eerie atmosphere, but it's just so quiet and Daniel moves so slowly throughout the house as things go bump in the night.

I just think it could've been more entertaining to watch. Not much really seems to happen.

I've tried watching it twice and dozed off both times. I think it's because I have a hard time making out the details in the dark house. I don't know if it's the movie or my TV. I liked most of the parts I could see though. I might give it one more try watching parts of it on my other tv.

Which version are you watching, a DVD?
You're telling us you couldn't see it, so you fell asleep? Do you know how that sounds?
Plus, are you aware that all TVs have brightness and contrast controls?

reply

I agree, it was way too dark and slow moving

Damn kids and their video game attention spans.

Wish it was that......but no. Just very dull throughout.

I much prefer the original TV version over this. There is nothing even remotely scary abouy this film.

Don't put the devil in the picture, cause' the religious groups won't wanna see it.

Didn't fall asleep, but tuned out and walked out the room for long periods of time while it was on. Once I saw that CGI screaming ghost part, I lol'd and thought "This is really pathetic".

Didn't fall asleep but it was a close one. How many times have we seen this "ghost story", where the mother dies but comes back as her child/children are not laid to rest.
