I liked Dan/Savannah early on but the all thing with Marti made me step back from them. I do think Savannah would have been far better for Dan than Marti. I just think they put them back together to soon. Then again I think Dawson/Joey has ruined me for all best friend turned lover couples. I do think that Matt/Aly had better chemistry i just think the characters would have been terrible for each other. Dan needed someone that would push him and show him he's more than he thought and while Marti might do that at times she is much more of and out for herself type a person. There is nothing wrong with that either especially after always taking care of her mom. I also think Dan was good for Savannah in a sense that he was out of her comfort zone and sort of inspired her to try to not plan everything.
