Cried like a baby

What a performance from the lead actress.

I hpe to goodness plenty of people watched this, and will have learned a painful lesson - that slavery never ended. It continues to this day - domestic slaves, sex slaves, indentured slaves. In every corner of the globe.

Just finished watching on C4+1, and im definatley bawling right now since that phone call at the end. And Kosha, yes completely agree with you, its just unbelievable that this sill goes on today, totally unaware from the authorities, slaves fearing for their lives and their families. its just disturbing and shocking. Also, can someone refresh what the statistics was at the end of the film? five thousand slaves in London alone today, was it?

Visit the Not For Sale website. They're also on Facebook and Twitter. There are many, many more slaves in the world than the official numbers suggest.

Why are our self satisfied career politicians not doing something about this? It shames our country that it can happen under our noses in places like Hampstead let alone elswhere in the world.

reply

The same reason no one is making a stink about it anywhere. Because those politicians use them and their rich friends. Wasn't the people she slaved for in London the family of a

Ambassador? This goes on in America. Be it Illegals or slaves people bought. On Long Island a slave actually escaped and ran into a Dunkin Dounuts and a whole can of worms were opened. There were three women living in the basement or some terrible room chained up. It was East Indians and their slaves were Asians too. The family was a doctors.. The husband and wife went to jail in the end. They had two kids that were not children and people wanted to know why they never got in trouble for this. The workers said the wife was really a tyrant.

The illegal problem will never end too because again the politicians use them for labor and their friends.
