When you surf you are in their domain if they attack you or you get hurt thats your own fault not the sharks, you were invading their territory.
I can't believe they killed the shark especially if you're a surfer you know this.
When the shark was hoisted up by the tail, an arm should have fallen out of it.

I'm pretty sure the surfers themselves had nothing to do with the killing of the shark. It was a fishing boat crew that may or may not have been on the lookout to protect surfers and swimmers from sharks in general, but I thought the movie made it clear that they and not the surfers were the ones who caught it.

When a shark first tastes human flesh it becomes like a drug for that shark. The shark must be killed otherwise it will seek out people to chomp away on until it dies of old age.
shareUm...no? Sharks hate the taste of human flesh. They take a bite not knowing that it is a human, thinking it is a baby seal or something.

This is a nearly 20 ft monster that attacks unprovoked and can tear you apart.
The people who killed it weren't hunting for sharks - they went out looking for this one in particular, since it could be a potential man-eater. The man who caught it, said he was sorry to have to kill the shark, but he couldn't live with himself if he'd done nothing and a child had been killed as a result.
shareI'm not shedding any tears over the shark. People are a part of this planet too and we get to swim in the ocean if we want to. I'm not advocating massive shark hunts-I doubt if it does any good and there are other ways to avoid being a happy meal, but I don't feel bad for a shark that ripped off a person's arm getting killed.

Don't worry bout it, 20-30 million of those evil, Satan worshipping sharks are already being killed by humans per year at LEAST (probably closer to 100 million). They strike back usually with there more evil species such as the Great White Shark, killing about 10 of us on average a year. Thankfully there are about 7 billion of us. We are winning the war.
Thankfully as lords of this earth we also have the power to overfish (we need fish more then them) and pollute the water and kill off sharks food supply, effectively starving them out of there oceanic rat holes if needed.
No human should ever fear going into the ocean, just because we can't pave it with concrete and footpaths like we did/do to jungles and forests, doesn't mean it can't be 1000 Percent safe for us to swim, as lord intended.
Hundreds of species of Sharks outlived the dinosaurs, but they sure as *beep* will NOT outlive us, thank god.
Just be careful walking down the street, your child may lose a limb to a dog or drunk driver. Only one of which can be killed after. The other one is just really sorry and won't do it again, promise.
Millions of sharks are killed every year. And many just have their fin cut off and tossed overboard, to slowly die.
Sharks kill humans at the rate of maybe one a year? Just who is the heartless monster???
