Muslim Family Values
If anyone who reads this knows, please enlighten me on a few things:
Are the rules so rigid that marital unhappiness is of no importance at all? The men of Jade's family don't give a flying damn that she is miserable in her marriage to Said.
The whole notion that one sin or even a faux pas committed by one person shames the entire family for generations seems absurd in the 21st century, not to mention impossible in any. Do people still believe this?
Can the other men of the family really pressure a man to take more wives than he wants?
The Fabio Principle: Puffy shirts look best on men who look even better without them.
