You drop the hatchet faster than FOX, and since you base on the old antiquated Nielsen ratings system along with the majority of your viewing audience which need spoon feeding, this show is doomed for failure....

shareSome people don't have access to the original program, myself included. I've only been able to see the pilot and though, I thought it was fantastic - I can't afford to buy a television show on DVD that I have not seen enough of to decide if I like it.
Yes, remakes suck, but I will give the show a chance because it does have a pretty good cast.
Also, if you want other people to see the original, start a petition or something to get it played on a regular station (or regular cable station)in the US.

Outrageous Fortune is super cheap in NZ, you can get the first 4 seasons for US $18 each, try somewhere like marbecks.co.nz, take a gamble it is well worth it.
They are zone 4 DVDs though, so make sure you a multi zone player. You won't regret it.

The accents aren't annoying. The acting is FAR superior. You don't know what you're missing. :)
shareI have no bias against the show because of the fact that it's a rip off. I do, however, have a problem with how horrible this show is thus far. I changed the channel because the acting is so awful and the script makes no sense. I have 800 questions as to why what is happening is happening.
Calling it now: this show will be cancelled very soon.

Elaborate. I thought it was great. The original was very rough in the beginning, maybe more so than this will be.
shareThe first show was the funniest load of (censored) (censored) I have seen for ages. It reminded me of the French Taxi remake when they copied the entire dialog and translated it into English somehow losing the humour along the way. This time they managed to do it from Kiwi to American English.
Personally I think they should have changed it more for the US audience. The original is awesome and got better with time but this one will need changing very very quickly.... If it lasts that long that is. It was a bit too sanitized. I'll watch the next few episodes and see if it improves otherwise its back to the DVDs.
