Was Linda's death the jump the shark moment?

It's hard to gauge when Blue Bloods may have jumped the shark since the website in question doesn't exist anymore (ever since TV Guide ruined it) and Blue Bloods premiered after the fact.

I thought the latest episode, (S9, Ep 11), was pretty good actually, I don't think it has jumped the shark at all

Killing Linda off strikes me as a quintessential example of "fridging":

Show's still going strong for this viewer. I do miss that website though.

I don't know if it's jumped the shark, but I am already tired of Jamie and Edie and the wedding prep.Maybe because I don't like the Edie character and think will Estes has the acting range of wood.

I don't buy their romance for a second. I know we're supposed to, but they give off a brother-sister kind of vibe. No sparks fly, and as I've said elsewhere, they've just become the Bickersons.

As for that wedding, we have no idea if someone stood up and said they had no intention of holding their peace, or if they started a food fight at the banquet after or what. There was no wedding, just Eddie getting walked down the aisle by (zero surprise) Frank.

You're right about Will Estes' acting range, btw.

Show is still good, no shark jumping.

Her departure didn't really affect the show. She was in the dinner scenes but other than than that, she didn't get many lines or stories. She was basically a background character.

I think when she left, so did a lot of the warmth of the show.

Even without Linda, it’s still a great show.
