Which episode? Immigrant Tony, got his name from 'To NY' on luggage

'Tony' was an immigrant car dealer running guns in his cars,turned out to be the bad guy who whacked his partner, and gets shot (not fatally) by Danny. It was explained the he didn't show up in the police computer when the cops looked for a Tony, and in fact they had to release another wrongly-arrested Tony. The bad guy got the nickname when he emigrated to America, and wrote 'To NY' on his suitcases. 70% sure it was this show. Could be NYPD Blue - googled several variations, coming up empty.

No, you're right, it was Blue Bloods. I binged watched the first six seasons and remember the episode. It was from season 5 I think, I don't know the name of the episode though.

I just looked thru the episode guides of all seasons. <sigh> I can't believe this is so hard to nail down.

THANK YOU! Thankyou thankyou thankyou! It was driving me nuts - I wanted to record the show when I saw it, forgot & deleted, then couldn't find it again. Would u believe every episode guide doesn't mention the 'Tony' thing, and describes the episode like this:
"Linda helps out Danny and Kate when she overhears important information related to their shooting case. Jamie is determined to track down the person who attacked Henry at an ATM."
Nothing about car dealer, mistaken identity, or aliasing. Moreover, the bad guy's real name was Adrian Baez, which is how he's listed in the cast. And, every single google keyword search I could think of, no mention of the bad guy aliasing himself Tony.
I feel much better now. 

I watch Blue Bloods eps on repeat  usually Sunday mornings so I kinda got them memorized , I remembered that Kate character was with Danny at the time, and they only had about 4 episodes or so together.

Yeah he goes thru more partners than Dirty Harry. All chix tho.
