Jamie promotion

I really wish after 7 years he was a detective by now than patrol man.

He wants to stay on the street, so make him a Sergeant and keep in on the street.

Yes! I want him to eventually have Anthony Renzulli's job. I would love to see Jamie getting advice from Henry and Frank about leadership and how to deal with problems between partners, and/or other types of co-workers.

As he is a Harvard Law School graduate, he should be using his brains more. He should be a detective or possibly even a Lt. akin to Law & Order's Anita Van Buren, who advises the detectives on ways to conduct their investigations.

He should actually be in family law or something similar where he could help people.

Says he likes what he's doing, and "to each his own."

It's not always being fast or even accurate that counts. It's being willing.

***I REALLY like your suggestions about Jamie, he would be great in what you have written above- I put it in bold ! Yay!

reply

But if he went into family law, he wouldn't get to carry a gun.

reply

The writing is ridiculous in saying that Jamie loves being a patrol officer and does not want to be promoted. Everybody wants advancement and a higher salary. It is the producer's way in keeping the status quo.

reply

If you see your "job" as a mission and you feel called to that mission, pay and advancement don't take precedence. And you don't know what the showrunner has planned for Jamie's future.
