I didn't watch this but I have seen Better With You and found it the worst piece of flaming crap I think anyone has ever produced.

I'd agree with most of that because all of the Big 4 networks have struggled to find the next great sitcom since the end of Friends and to a lesser extent Frasier and Everybody Loves Raymond which regularly got the kind of ratings that Two and Half Men get at the moment. The only current comedies that seem to get the Friends-like critical acclaim at the moment are The Big Bang Theory and Modern Family, neither of which could ever be thought of as Friends clones even at a basic level, although TBBT recently added two new female leads for its fourth season.

In my humble opinion, I think the "five or six friends hanging out and dating anything and everything" genre needs to be rested for a few years because it has saturated the market. In terms of HIMYM, the good thing about what that show does is that the majority of the dating is done by a single character, almost as a satire, and were this character to ever get a spinoff, I feel confident that "Barney" would continue the cult following from the main show that "Joey" couldn't sustain which has tarnished the Friends legacy for many even though it's unfair to blame Matt le Blanc as the writing on Joey wasn't as good as it was on Friends.

Anyway, so because many people seem to agree that Perfect Couples isn't that great, the big questions now relate to the current crop of "Friends remakes":
1 - how many episodes of Perfect Couples will get shown now, assuming any actually do get shown?
2 - will Better With You be renewed and if not, what will Jake Lacy do next? (because he is the best thing on that show)
3 - how will Mad Love (Jason Biggs, Sarah Chalke, Judy Greer) do when it airs in a few months?

In Slater's defence, My Own Worst Enemy wasn't actually that bad if you're a fan of action shows like Human Target and Chuck.

However, The Forgotten was near unwatchable.
