The absolute worst show I've seen

in recent memory. Who green lights this crap? Seriously bad.

Whenever you look up, there I shall be -- and whenever I look up there will be you.

I'll second that motion. About ten minutes into it my wife was asking how much longer till The Office started. This show won't be around long. Thank God.

its like pulling teeth its awful. the only thing that is ok about this show is that one chic is in always sunny

reply

I watched all but the final five minutes of the pilot last week before giving up. I couldn't even last five minutes with this crap tonight.

reply

Not the worst show I've seen, but yeah it's crap.

reply

The person who let this show get on tv needs to get fired right away because they suck at their job.

reply

Its up there with one of the worst shows I've seen. I love olivia munn but please go do something else besides this show. Maybe it will get better as time goes on but I doubt it.

reply

Dear god.... somebody likes Olivia Munn?!?!?!

reply

Ugh. I'm watching it as I type this and agree with how horrible it is.

It's unfunny and awkward.

reply

I tried to watch it last night. It was awful. The flashback gimmick is annoying. There is no chemistry with the cast. The characters are cardboard.

It appears this show is (loosely)based on an idea penned by one Mr Moffatt, that became a cult classic in the UK a decade ago.

Why this spawn of the original doesn't work isn't fully clear. Certainly the characters are fledged (they wouldn't be couples otherwise), and the script should last a 30 minute episode (actually it doesn't owing to the fill-ins but hey-ho).
There may have been some Network fallout/blunder/bung/mis-sell or simply some claim by a desperate shirt that this show was better than Friends (which it is, but that was in the times when you couldn't find anything to fill 23 minutes on a channel without exceeding the commercial limits, and there was a chance somebody might buy the DVD for their relatives, rather than rip it).

Maybe the fact that each couple is dealt with as a separate entity, plus it's all kept rather far from being riskee/sordid, plus the need to sink to abstract in light of a lack of continuity - read decent script (which the original certainly didn't need) might give the 'creators' something to chew on when they finally choose to work on something the general public consider material worth viewing, recommending, or keeping.

Not the worst show I've seen but the blandest set of characters I ever saw in a sit-com, especially Dave and Julia. If you doing an ensemble show, you need one or two people who can carry it for you.

reply

Yes, this show was pretty bad and deserved to be cancelled (although, to be fair, not as bad as any of Tyler Perry's TBS crap. Or Reba).

The only thing tolerable was Vance and Dave's friendship. Two of the three women (coincidentally, the women connected with those two) were witches, and the third, Olivia Munn's character, was just weird.

A couple of the guys, the one who played Vince and the one who played Olivia Munn's husband, have popped up this season as guest stars on ABC's Happy Endings, a far superior show about six people.

(The reviewer who gave it 10 stars on the home page here is either a moron or someone affiliated with this dreadful show.)

reply

I just watched the whole series on download. I liked it.
Did take me a couple of episodes to warm to it.
I don't think it deserved to be cancelled. It was just getting into it's stride.
People don't give things a chance.
Happy endings is not a far superior show. I think it's about the same level of funny. I hated the first couple of episodes of that but again I've warmed to it.
I'm going to miss these characters.
