Does Danny ever get any kind of redemption?

I mean, I get that he doesn't deserve it... But I'm starting season three, and there's a fair amount of blood on... everybody's everything at this point so does anyone have the right to be pointing fingers at this stage in the game? I mean, Sally shreds half the ghosts in Boston after becoming a possession-junkie... Aidan's been making ghosts in Boston for about two centuries... Josh and Nora spent the second half of Season 2 conspiring to murder Ray, and then not only killed him but cut out his heart to resurrect Sally who, upon resurrection immediately kills one of her high school buddies when breaking the no-contact rule. The last one could have been forgivable as an accident had it not been for the fact that Sally is not new to the supernatural game, and should have known a *beep* of a lot better. Nobody's glass house is intact.

I ask because there's a moment between Danny and Sally when he briefly escapes purgatory and he and Sally interact. I think he displayed at least a small amount of remorse for his crime "It's not like I don't deserve it.", which is more than I've seen from Josh, who thus far only seems to regret the fact that his cure didn't also cure Nora. During this remorseful moment Sally regards him with a small amount of compassion imo. So does he ever get out? Or is that moment of remorse the only redemption he gets?

From Sally, yes.

From that moment on, he's all on his own. That's the last we see of him.

Well... I still hold out hope... They could do a spinoff where he works as a private detective in Los Angeles or something.

He's a second rate character, a violent abuser, an unapologetic murderer and a liar, and you're "holding out hope" he gets redeemed? Is it because you find him cute or are you his Mom?

Or you could just watch Angel instead since this type of spin-off already exists.
