As far as Terrence Malick goes, I've seen 4 of his films. I liked The New World, loved Badlands and The Thin Red Line is in top 10 films I have ever seen, but I hated The Tree of Life. So my question is: is this similar to any of his previous films and should I watch it?
shareSimilar to his latest three, but then again it is way more experimental then any thing he has done so far. And for me it is his darkest film. It was like he used all of his tricks and turned them on their heads. Basically, it has his imagery, but less dialogue and a darker feel.
shareThanks for your response, I'll probably see it somewhere down the line. I just don't feel like going through another Tree of Life and I'm scared it could be a lot like that.

Very good response, thank you. I have now seen all of his films except this, and I basically liked them all, excluding The Tree of Life, as I mentioned before. I'll definitely give this a watch eventually, I just don't feel like it now.
