This film was a hard watch

I like it, and I understood most of it but wow it was difficult to watch for me. I had to pause it multiple times to take a break and really absorb some of the scenes I'd just seen. The film is all visual cues that tell the story, so if you miss a scene there could be 3 split second scenes in the same scene that tell you something. Making movies like this must be very difficult because nothing relies on dialogue.

So is it true there is no dialogue at all in the movie? Heard that a while ago but didn't follow up if it was true

reply

No, there is. There just isn't as much emphasis on literal dialogue as there is on the almost lyrical voice over.

reply

It certainly is a hard watch because of the lack of dialogue and narrative.

Its that man again!!

reply

I cannot recommend this and will never watch it again.

I hated it .... I found it to be pretentious and boring

For me it's a very beautiful film but a hard watch in seeing a relationship fall to pieces and love turn to hate. Been there done that. It was also hard to watch someone move countries for the sake of someone, and have everything turn to shit. Been there done that too.
