Wait, this is supposed to be a reality show?

This is news to me. I thought it was just a normal show made to have a raw, hand held camera look. That's why I liked it, because I thought it was different. I had no clue that it is supposed to be reality. In that case, it is the absolutely worst, most scripted, most planned out "reality" I have ever seen. Did anyone else feel the way I did before?

I believe there were scripts. I graduated a year before Liz but it's no new news to anyone from BHS that they read from scripts and memorized lines. Or attempted to.

I thought it was supposed to be a mixture of Arrested Development and The Office. Grant I only saw like the 2nd half of one episode.

I think it's just supposed to be a regular show in the form of a reality show. I don't think the creators intended for anyone to really believe it's a real reality show.

They've made a bunch of shows like this. It's a scripted show made with real people, who become legitimate actors anyhow the minute they sign a contract. It's basically a show that skipped the casting process. Somehow, the nature of whatever it's designated allows the show to sidestep normal filming rules in regard to location and "extras".

Its meant to be like the office. I read an interview with Liz, and she was talking about how its scripted, but she really is friends with all these people.

It's not meant to be like the office at all. It's supposed to be "reality" like the hills was supposed to be reality.
