And it's pretty awesome. The character of Asha is more developed in 90 minutes of a movie than in however many episodes of the tv show. The relationship between todd and asha is very touching.

Watching the movie makes me realize that the character of Tanya is a real drain on the show. She just serves the purpose of lowering the stakes for everyone and making todd's experience easier and ergo more boring.

At the same time, the character of asha is much more powerful in the movie, smarter and more willful. The best thing about the show is how it's deepened the ancillary characters in the call center.

I'd like the actress who played asha in the movie to come on the show. I think i like the actor who played todd in the movie a bit more as well, but the other guy is clearly more of a sitcom character.

That's kind of the point. Tonya is Ginger and Asha is Mary Ann. It will take a few seasons to build this up, and sadly, Outsourced may not get renewed for a second season by NBC.
