Does anyone watch this?

Does anyone actually watch/enjoy this show? I watched half an episode and it was terrible. Unfunny jokes, horrible writing, and it's somewhat racist. I can't believe this piece of crap got a full season...

Not sure if you heard, but my spinal column was ruptured in a sex riot.

Racist how?

I've never really seen them make fun of Indians or Indian culture. In fact, it's usually the "Ugly American" perceptions of Indian culture that becomes the brunt of most jokes -- not India or the Indians.

The Indian characters are not stereotypical Indians: there's the overbearing assistant manager, the womanizing guy, the geeky chubby guy, the quiet girl, and the pretty girl. Those character types could be any nationality. The show happens to take place in India, so they are Indians. If this show took place in a call center in the U.S., those same character types could exist -- but as Americans.

I find the show enjoyable for the most part. It's usually simple, fun humor.

Nearly all the jokes people claim are "racist" are (as "Teddy_Salad" said) "Ugly American" perceptions, that are always quickly countered by sarcastic responses by one of the call center workers. The character's themselves are universal stereotypes (everyone has a "Gupta" in their office, regardless of what their ethnicity actually is).

One of my co-workers is originally from India and loves the show, perhaps one of the few shows that has multiple Indians in the main cast. Most shows that have an Indian in their cast have characters who are either tokens or ethnically ambiguous.

"You've shown your quality sir. The very highest."

Blah Blah Blah, don't care. This show blows.

You apparently care enough to make the claim, but deciding to be delusional is always an option!

The show won't win any emmys, but it's fun to watch, good-hearted, and it's harmless humor. The characters are basically likable, even if some are slightly annoying.

TV needs to have its share of light comedies, and this show fits that bill.

So just let me sit back and enjoy this show. It makes me laugh.

Speaking of horrible writing. Blah blah blah? Your mom jokes?

You obviously 'care' enough to come back onto this board and act as if you are participating in a discussion you started.

The show is fun. End of story.

You people are stupid. This show is crap. You should watch shows that are actually funny like Community and 30 Rock, not this crap.

@Bluebond07: GROW UP, stay off idmb. You are obviously NOT taking your meds as prescribed by your psyco-therapist.

And besides, OUTSOURCED is a classic tv sit-com. Long may OUTSOURCED run. I give NBC credit for trying something just alittle bit different than a middle-type average family or 'dating caucasian singles' living together in one large house, apartment, whatever. C'mon now. Move on, you dumb-dumb.....It is obvious that Bluebond07 is a slow-wit.

I like Community and 30 Rock; I watch them every week. I like Outsourced as well.

All three shows are "similar" in tone, although I would say Outsourced is more gentle-natured, good-natured, and generally "sweeter" than the others. Outsourced is more like Cheers was in its early days -- a simple good-natured ensemble-cast comedy.

Get a life!

The show is, for the most part, well-written (the weakest episode so far was the Monsoon one) and certainly well-performed by all the principals.

A charming, often sweet-natured sitcom made with style, this is a welcome addition to the more conventional family sitcoms that are currently on the air.

my whole family loves this show-- we're Indian, none of us find it racist. We all enjoy the culture-clash humor. TBH I found the first half of the season much funnier than I'm finding the second half, but I still like it

And for the record, we watch Community and 30 Rock too, and love them as well.

Life is very short, and there's no time for fussing and fighting, my friends!~The Beatles
