God dammit Outsourced producers

No Charlie tonight, hardly any Asha, too much Manmeet and what looks to be an indication that Gupta is going to be more prominent in the show. I don't know why I had so much hope for this show. Gupta has had one good moment (the Bollywood Dance number) and that's all. Please focus group this show some more.

it sucked there was no charlie though.

ironically there is a Charlie & Gupta storyline next week, which should be interesting.

Yeah the dynamics of the show have been off lately. Asha hasn't been involved in weeks, it's pissing me off.

No Charlie, No Jerry, want to see more of the turban guy, Ajeet but it was a great move that they featured Pinky more than usual. Madhuri, Todd, Manmeet & Rajiv had a balanced amount of time on the episode. Gupta is funny but he was too much. This is a half hour show and if they want to feature so much of Gupta, they should make it a one hour show.

Asha is a babe and we can all hope for more Asha except she looked washed out tonight next to the long haired girl they put her with in the lunch room.

I really like Pinky too. Is it just me or has Asha gotten hotter since the first few eps? Yeah, Gupta is fine in small dosages but gets annoying FAST.

reply

Yeah, I personally can't stand Gupta & really hope he gets to be more of a background player in future episodes.

ugh, i know. I love, love, love the movie and understand that the characters shouldn't be carbon copies of the movie versions. But dammit, Asha is such a wonderful character. They need to give her some meaty story lines. And I know Rebecca Hazlewood still has that british accent.. is that why they don't feature her much? Cuz I,personally, don't really care about the accent. I'm not sure how great she is as an actress, but maybe that's because they haven't challenged her enough with the material.

Also I agree about Gupta. Too much Gupta is too annoying. Manmeet is ok, but they need to stop with all the womanizing thing and focus on something else. It's getting old.

The only saving grace on the show is Madhuri, I feel. And Charlie is becoming a better character... he's even a better character than Todd.

I'd like to see them expand the Tonya character (if only because I really like to hear Australian accents). Supposing this show is to keep going, and Todd is supposed to end up with Asha, what would they do with her? For the first few episodes I was confused as to why she was creditted as a lead when she was total recurring character material, but her role seems to be growing. They need to integrate her beyond Todd and Charlie - I'd like to see her interact with the workers in Todd's office more. It might be interesting to contrast her Westernized femininity with Madhuri's conservativism, for example. For that matter, they could stand to contrast her Australian point of view with the American and Indian cultures of the other leads. Just give her some kind of role besides "Todd's love interest".

Gupta is annoying. I know that's the point of his character, but it isn't that funny - I groan whenever he's on screen. At least they're attempting to give him more depth, but the writers really need to tone him down... Charlie would be more annoying if he were more prominent, but they use him in effectively small doses.

Madhuri is great. I like Manmeet and Asha, too, and I'd like to see more of them.
