'This is a movie that will never find an audience'???

Honestly, I think if this movie was marketed correctly, it would get a ton of people going to see it. Among my friends its become a facebook phenomenon overnight. The only problem is that its happening now and the movie doesn't come out until October.

It might hold. Snakes on a Plane had a crazy following from over a year before its release just because of its name.

I hope it does well.

Snakes on a Plane had the benefit of a larger promotional budget and audience, compared to a Canadian movie.

The olympic end show we pulled off in Vancouver is a prime example of why we suck at entertainment...

The end of the world doesn't seem so bad now that you're here.

"Little 'terrorists' on the Prarie"? Prejudice much? Are you sure you're actually Canadian? You seem more fit to move south of the border and join the Tea Party movement (you'd be more right wing and idiotic than the vast majority of Americans).

Canada has a population of about thirty-three million or so and you honestly think we can compete with the US on entertainment? The money simply isn't there. However, that doesn't mean all of our entertainment is rubbish. 'Corner Gas' and 'Slings and Arrows' were both great television programs and our kids shows are exported all over the place. I also enjoyed the movies 'Bon Cop, Bad Cop' and 'Shake Hands with the Devil' recently.

So yes, maybe this hockey musical won't be any good, but to pretend all Canadian films and television series are of the same quality is ridiculous.

I came here to find out what theatres this film is playing in, and when I say that "Terrorist" remark I became embarrassed that that person is a fellow Canadian.

Ha ha...surely you jest!!! The world is not clamoring for this stink bomb. Are you asking Canadians to lower their standards just because it was made here? Crap is crap no matter where it comes from! AYE, Calypso, it ain't worth the time and effort to see it! Eventually, you will grasp that. As one other commentor said, it is every bit as bad as "Love Guru", and probably worse!

The 5.1 rating (still much too high) proves that you can fool SOME of the people all of the time, but not ALL of the people all of the time.

This film was DOA long before it hit the theatres. The filmmakers tried to market it as "Grease with hockey", but the negative buzz that came out of last year's TIFF doomed it before it could make any impact. I know - I was there in that screening. Having an audience full of professional critics, producers and industry exec's mumbling to each other throughout the film was the first indicator that something was wrong with it.

Also, you can't make something a "Facebook phenomenon" with your friends. You need thousands upon thousands of people to buy tickets and drive awareness in order to have any measurable impact.

Unfortunately the only good thing about this movie was Olivia Newton-John. Noah Reid was bearable, however.
