Why Hire An Entire Cast...Of Non-Singers?

Olivia Newton-John being the exception of course. But every other person was excruciatingly bad. Some of the worst voices I have ever heard sing. Noah Reid had moments where he was okay, but the songs he had to sing were absolutely wretched, so unless you're a songbird like Olivia, then no one could have made the song sound good.

And I was shocked by the singing voice of Marc Jordan, who released his first album in 1978 and has released thirteen more, the latest in 2010. He sounded awful, I was shocked as I just downloaded some of his early hits and was happy to hear them again.

And why have so many horrible voices sing when Nelly Furtado was part of the cast? She had barely two lines and sang about six words. What a waste.

I have no idea what the people making this film were thinking. Did they hire all their friends and not care that not a single one of them could carry a tune to save their life?
