Question about LoLa and Emily

Lola wrote " I love Emily " under the pics of them kissing in her diary and then when her mom was picking her up it seemed like they were making out. but, they didn't give the vibe of "lovers" or anything more than BFFs... Were they supposed to be Bi? Or just messing around? What was up with the whole "I love Emily" thing?

It was just confusing... Can someone please, inform me !

Just for fun! Girls are more affectionate than guys. It's not a big deal, they're just really comfortable with each other.

Awwe, dearest Jackykins, you know you can never silence this little lamb.

Nah, I think they made it pretty clear that they were just friends. I'm a teenage girl and I don't kiss my friends on the lips but I'm still pretty affectionate with them, I mean last night I slept over at my friends and we fell asleep spooning. Girls are just more affectionate than guys are for the most part.

I was the age depicted in this movie ten years ago and I certainly took pictures in photo booth, making out with my friends and promptly put those pictures in my diary!

I still do that...

It didn't seem odd or out of place to me at all.

Then again I was a wild child.

And still am....

I felt it was more of exploration into her sexuality. At that age sometimes love can be confusing whether its love for your friends or love for a significant other. She DOES love Emily, and Emily loves her. Why not explore it. They realize they're not into each other sexually but still very close and will always share a special bond due too the experimenting. That's how I take there relationship. Also they weren't making out. They were hugging and kissing on the cheeks.

I agree, when I was fourteen I shared a bed with ten girls. We were wrapped all around each other. No lust/sexual desire involved. It was a Slumber Party. I think they kissed for the picture. A moment in time frozen between two girls that were conformable with one another.

What I find funny is that Lola has much better chemistry with her best friend Emily then she has with Kyle the struggling musician, and her love intrest.
