If you knew the premise and still had expectations.....

your disappointment is yer own making .....

This is a fun film... you can nitpick and split hairs all you want or you can just go with it .... a very fun movie ... would be awesome at the Drive-Inn .... it's a fun blast of one liners and violence and bad CGI

Agreed. I am a fan of John Carpenter's "Escape From New York" and "Escape From L.A." and can see how this movie borrowed heavily from both films plots. That being said, I first saw this film a couple of years ago and like the film "Dredd" I fell in love with it. I also loved the Guy Pearce character and his many sarcastic quips. I also thought he and Maggie Grace had good on-screen chemistry and I would not be disappointed if these characters returned in a sequel. I know because of the bad box office returns and the John Carpenter lawsuit that a chance for a sequel is slim to never, but this film has gained a much deserved cult following on streaming channels like Netflix and Hulu.
