I agree, this is one of the worst films, shows ive ever seen, however it was the first episode it lack so much to be Great!

This is a big disappointment to the Legacy of OZ!


I grew up in the 80's and 90's and I must admit we had the best shows and films. There hardly isn't any realism today, or depth! Return to Oz was so spectacular, one of my favorite films even being older.
Watching Return to Oz actually allowed my imagination to soar, it had me thinking, and believing everything about was a vivid place that exist.

1. This 2011, and the effects were so behind our time and pointless, very chessy in many ways.

2. The acting, there is a difference between a drama and Comedy, so whatever the hell it is it's more of a comedy in my opinion, and The wizard of oz is no comedy, its a Drama, Fantasy! How much more animated could the acting be!

3. The Writing was awful listening to the character's lines had me feeling annoyed that someone would actually produce a script so bad to make it appear so good!

4. Composer? I guess nobody took time to create real music as they did in ever other movie about Oz! Yes the music sucked, lousy and absolutely cheap! Does anyone remember how great the music was in Return to Oz? Well don't hold your breath because there is no such thing of an Original Score here!

5l.The only people i really know in this film is Lance Henriksen and Christopher Lloyd, Lloyd is a great actor, don't give the best the worst of films and shows!

TO a conclusion dont *beep* up a good story because you can't take the time to make the time!

I just finished watching this and it's indeed terrible. I can't believe they ever had this slated for a theatrical release, when it's not even suited for television (well maybe if it were to show on MST3K...). The production values are just horrible. Horrible acting, horrible screenplay, horrible effects, camera work, costume and makeup. It would be laughable if I didn't feel so sorry for several of the skilled actors who wound up attached to this project. If this had actually made theaters, I'd place it ahead of The Last Airbender as worst theatrical production of all time, but luckily this won't be seeing the big screen.

I recommend Tin Man if you need a modern day retelling of the various stories of Oz. It's no masterpiece, but it stands in complete contrast to this abomination.

i liked the story (although it fell flat sometimes) and a few of the actors

gotta disagree here the actors are doing there best to carry a bad director and crappy production.

Mia Sara was the worst actress or the actress's playing the Princess Langwidere role.

it's not the best movie around by far, but much better then the worst around in this generation of handheld camera movies. the movie does have some kinda wholes that you have to figure out on your own. main thing that made it a bad movie to me was the fact of they did a lord of the rings ending, pointing to the next movie instead of having a real ending. seems like the story would have been better suited to something like a 10 episode tv series then a movie, alot of different characters in here that they could have developed better.

I agree, horrible movie. The acting, the writting, the special effects. The dialogue sounds the way we used to talk when we played make believe as kids.

Yep .... Pointless. After about an hour I was yelling ... "Get to the point" . I shut if off after the second hour. I felt no ending in the world could redeem such a mess. Poor acting, Poor production. I'm sure someone got fired of this one.
