CSI crossover?

I was just watching the new CSI episode "The List" and there was a scene where Nick and Greg were looking at the online bank account of a murder victim. The law firm of Morelli & Kaczmarek was shown as having been paid several times by the victim for services rendered. I wonder if this was just a little nod to another CBS show or will there be a crossover storyline in the future?

Even though I think it was just a shout out, since Carol Mendelsohn is the show runner for both CSI and The Defenders, I would love for the characters from both shows to run into each others from time to time.

Unfortunately, it's not looking good for a renewal of the Defenders, which is a shame, because this show really fun to watch and the characters are extremely likeable.

I didn't notice it but good observation. I really enjoy this show and hope it gets to stay on. I remember loving the series with Shark (Stark) - James Woods and they only gave that one season. I also loved Raising the Bar with Paul Mark Gossellar. Both were lawyer shows, and both did not stay long. I also enjoyed The Good Guys (with that Bradford guy from The West Wing), a cop show though, and that too has been cut. I hate when you like a show and they give it only one season. Now I wonder what's happening with The Gates, and The Glades? hmmm

The Gates is over as stated on the website which i really hate cause I liked that show. The Glades will be back for season 2

You mean they didn't even give this a second season? The Gates has so much potential. So they ended it without any resolution? Gosh I hate that. They never advertised that properly and I haven't heard a thing about it not being renewed. This sucks. I'm going to check the IMDB site on it to see what was said. I'm really upset by this. I like The Glades and glad it's being renewed but I really liked The Gates too.
