It's a terrible show.
Not even comparing it to Corner Gas, it's just an awful show.
Dan for Mayor also stinks but imho it is easily better than Hiccups.
I am a huge fan of Corner Gas. I own the complete series on DVD and have read both books about the show (Tales From Dog River and Dog River Confidential).
So when I learned that Hiccups had two of the main characters from Corner Gas, I watched a few episodes on television. I was surprised that I didn't like the show. Except for the setting (location) of the series, it seemed to have the same production style and humor as Corner Gas. But I didn't like it and I can't pinpoint exactly why. It's not that I hate it. It's just that I don't enjoy watching it as much as I enjoy watching Corner Gas over and over again.
