I've never seen Twilight, but I could guess they were making fun of it. Is Twilight as cheesy and overacted as Phantasma?

Yup. It's what makes the parody so funny. The writers of "Huge" aren't even trying to change much.

You betcha.

Funnies aside, the Lady Gaga namedrop was inconsistent with this - I'd have liked Countess Gaga myself.

reply

I loved when they were laying in the field of daisies! OMG, I HATED that scene in Twilight!

If you love Jesus Christ and are 100% proud of it copy this and make it your signature!

reply

It's not inconsistent. Dropping the name Lady Gaga is not copyright infringement, but including ANY footage from Twilight would have been.

Hooray! I've found another siggy!

Guess that explains Dr. Rand's list of (real-life) films...

A few episodes back, the girls talk about the book and the cover art (from what I remember) even looks like Twilight's does. During Movie Night, even the music for the film reminded me of Twilight (and of course the scenes, dialogue, and opening title had the same font). I like Twilight but found it funny they were parodying it and how the girls are all obsessed with it (and even some of the guys looked like they were into the movie).

Yeah. I remember that. It was one of the first "Twilight" references but I didn't know it would come back-and come back in such a big and funny way.

Who was playing "Bella" and the Ghost in the fake movie? I swear, the "Bella" girl looked like Poppy in a wig.
