Hayley Hasselhoff as a model (pics)

She used to be a gorgeous plus-size model:

It's a shame that she got skinny for this show. She was prettier when she was curvier.

reply

Knock a hundo off of her weight and she'd be a knockout.

Curvy does not mean fat, just FYI.

reply

shes fine just the way she is she doesnt have to conform to what america thinks beautiful is. LIke some douche bag who thinks he top *beep* becuase he works out 3 hours a day but has no personaitly what so ever

reply

Couple things. First, it's hilarious that you have "little" in your username when you are at least a duece and a half. Secondly, I'm curious why you think I have no personality? Based on what, the fact that I'm not fat? That I'm handsome and in great shape? Movies and TV have pandered to fat and ugly people by perpetuating the myth that being good looking means you can't have a great personality, intelligence, or kindness. It's hilarious to watch - fats throw fits when some body dares to point out that their fatness is a direct result of weakness (even though that's a scientific fact) yet they're more than willing to assume somebody who has the audacity to maintain acceptable fitness levels must surely be a cruel, stupid, lesser human being.

This joke of a show will certainly perpetuate that stereotype, as the fatties will be shown as wonderful people mercilessly taunted by their thinner, prettier peers. The really sad part is that all the miserable, depressed, lonely fatties will watch it and use it as justification to not change their lifestyles.

The sad part is this - as awesome as I look, my physical appearance pales in comparison to my charm, intelligence, and strength of character. That's hard for you to accept, of course, because confidence and attractiveness are things that you've learned to hate because you cannot possess them. So, instead of trying to make yourself better, you'll spend time trying to tear me down in your head, so that you never have to feel inferior.

reply

Don't encourage the troll.

Back to the original topic, I preferred her with the longer hair that she had in her modelling images, and the somewhat fuller figure that she used to possess. Nevertheless, still very pretty.

Also, haha, obvious troll is obvious.

But you did bring me lulz today, so I appreciate your trolling.

reply

You really undercut your own point about how someone as "handsome and in great shape" as you can be charming, intelligent, kind and strong of character with a post like this. You certainly don't need any help from movies and tv "perpetuating the myth". And I find it hilarious that your username is GumWrapper when that's what I spit my my used up, chewed up, flavorless wads of gum into before tossing it into the trash.

reply

Well since you're clearly in love, why don't you go screw yourself.

reply

I bet you'd like to watch that, eh, Angela?

reply

Knock a hundo off of her weight and she'd be a knockout.

Knock a hundo off and she'd be dead.

Of course, any female under 200 must be dangerously thin, right?

reply

No, but under 100? Some aren't, but she would be.

reply

She's a size 12. She's not even overweight, she's just not skinny...

reply

Wow, she's beautiful. You could tell that when they would show her face in the promo's for Huge, though. I haven't seen the show yet, but I think she looks gorgeous.

Well OK everything is all over the place. Some things Gum Wrapper says are true. The blond chick in those photos is heavy. She doesn't need to lose a hundred pounds of course but some weight, preferably in her face. Having said that I still think she's pretty. I think Nicki Blonsky is cute too, but on the show, not really in real life.

However one thing I disagree with Gum Wrapper is that fat people can't possess confidence. Have you ever met a fat black chick? That's all I'm saying.

And Gum Wrapper, I don't think people are assuming you're a giant douche based on your admitted attractiveness. I think they're basing it on the fact that you're coming off extremely egotistical, superior, and smug. The kindness that you profess to show is lovely, but you're not showing it on these threads.

These are just my opinions. And opinions are just onions with pi.

I agree Ann. I use to know a chick who was at least 300lbs and the guys were always all over her. Getting hit on has nothing to do with what you look like but everything to do with how you carry yourself. I know a ton of skinny chicks that have no self confidence.

reply

I don't think Haylee needs to lose a thing. She looks fantastic the way she is. And I don't necessarily think it would help her career either. It sure didn't help Sara Rue's career. If she got skinny, she'd be just another generic blonde.

reply

[deleted]

Yeah. She used to be large by Hollywood standards, but had her fans and was the star of her own show Less Than Perfect, which ran for 4 seasons. Then she got skinny, thinking she would compete with the Jennifer Aniston's of the world, but lost her uniqueness. Then she gained some back, but now she's trying to get skinny again. Most of her fans far preferred her before she lost the weight.

Here are some pictures of her.

I think Sara, like Haylee, are one of those women that can carry extra weight and still look sexy, and in fact look better that way. Not Nikki Blonsky heavy - that girl is morbidly obese. But Haylee is not anything of the sort.

There's no such word as 'uniqueness' and if she's talented enough, her career should be just fine. And at least she's healthy now.

"There's no such word as 'uniqueness'..."

The dictionary would not agree with you.

I used to think Sara Rue was hot, but since she got skinny, she looks kinda weird.

The hammer is my penis.

reply

Sara Rue is smoking hot now but after watching her old TV show I think she was a lot more relatable then.

reply

"I don't think Haylee needs to lose a thing. She looks fantastic the way she is."

I disagree but I hope she's at least healthy.

"And I don't necessarily think it would help her career either. It sure didn't help Sara Rue's career."

I don't know what's she's doing now but I bet the next roles she gets aren't going to use her weight as plot point rather than just her being.

"If she got skinny, she'd be just another generic blonde."

Oh brother... You have to knock someone else down to feel better about yourself. If she's talented enough, she won't be a generic blonde. You're not generic unless you want to be.

She's skinny? We must have different views on this. I think she's still plus size, pretty, and very curvy-- you can actually see her curves vs. just fat. She's not skinny, but she is more about average and more healthy looking now IMO.

reply

Same here. Skinny to me is a size 2 or 0.

reply

nah, I prefer the Victoria's Secret model, Sarah something, she was on Jay Leno cause her TV ad was too raunchy because of her weight. At least she's sexy thick.

SoCalCatalina,

The "if youre heavy you wont get work" excuse doesnt really fly.

She's got a lead role on a tv show that's number one (cable) in it's time slot.
she's obviously getting work.
And it's only her second acting credit.

I dont know if youve noticed, but there are specific roles that cast specifically *gasp* larger people.

It could actually help her. There are hundreds of thousands of young twentysomething blondes trying to make it in the industry.. it's actauly the biggest group to compete with. being a little heavier with established credits would most likely help her stand out from the masses, not fall behind them.

She's very beautiful. Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes.

reply

When I first saw her face, I was like..whoa! She actually looks really beautiful with the short wavy hair, and yes, if she DID lose the "extra 50," she would resemble one of those 30's Hollywoood starlets, like Mary Pickford or something. I am just so drawn to her face, and this coming from a straight female- she is BEAUTIFUL!

As far as how/why she got the part, it could be because of her NAME, don't ya think?? Nepotism is alive and well in Hollywood, and its here to stay. I can't even say for sure if she's a good actress or not. I thought this show would look interesting, and the last time I even watched a "teen show" was maybe...Party of 5? But so far these ABC Family producers have conjured it to be badly written, horribly contrived, too slow, unrealistic (those tennis kids go to their hideout just to "talk", ha? No drugs or nookie? Yeah right..) And most of all, there are some TERRIBLE actors in this show. The main counselor woman comes to mind.

But, none of this is Hayley's fault. I stil can't say if she herself is a bad actress, because this show is just SWARMING with bad acting and writing, I would have to see her in another role to judge on that. Being heavy will add limits, but I do believe if she were to slim down...she has a very mesmerizing face, one that comes along maybe only once in a generation... and she could do well. She is definetly someone to keep an eye out for.

reply

I still agree with the O.P. Hayley is a natural beauty who looks good when she's a bit fuller figured than she is now. Her face gets a little too hard-looking when she's thinner, but when she fills out, her face becomes rounder, softer, and more feminine and pretty. Her figure gets shapelier too. In her modelling pictures, she was really gorgeous.

reply

The main counselor woman is Gina Torres, who is a fantastic actress, watch Firefly sometime, but wow is she bad on Huge. Although I found her a lot more bearable when she had her hair in her natural curls. She seemed a lot more natural.

reply

I wouldn't say SHE's bad. She's just playing the character given to her, who is not the same sort of strong person that Zoe was.

It's like watching grass grow, except there's an explosion at the end

reply

She's still curvy.

reply

Wow, she did look better with a little more weight on her.

The hammer is my penis.
