NY plates in Mass?

I'm only twenty minutes into this film. At about five minutes in it said "Massachusetts present day" next thing I know three of the characters are in a car with NY plates. They stop in Dedham to meet two others All the cars I could see there also have NY plates. What's the deal with that? I'm gonna go to bed now. Maybe I'll watch the rest of this tomorrow. Maybe not.

I watched the rest of this flick against my better judgment. Not to harp on the New York thing but they stop at a store in Maine (Voorhees haha) that has a neon sign in the window advertising the New York lotto. Why not just say things take place in New York state? Maybe they thought people might mistake this ill conceived film for a Steven King book. Who knows?
There is sooo much else wrong with this movie that I don't have the time or desire to list them.
It might be a good movie to watch with friends while you rag on it.

The shop keeper says something about it and the main character said that they recently moved from New York. Not that this helps this awful movie. I actually had to stop watching an hour or so in. Two hours run time is way to long for crappy horror movies. This might have been watchable with some editing and a hour and a half run time.

In the closing credits, it says that the movie was filmed in New York. So that explains why there would be so many New York license plates.

Even though it was not actually filmed in Dedham, MA, the actor did at least pronounce the name of the town properly. As a Bostonian, I have often heard people from other states mispronounce Dedham. So, clearly, the writer or actor did their homework.

I also enjoyed how the movie incorporated video clips of the actual highway signs on Route 95. It gave the viewer a sense of authenticity as if we were actually driving from Dedham to Maine.

How can you be from Boston yet seem to be American... From someone who lives near the original English Boston :P
