Frustrating under utilization of characters (spoilers)

I just got done watching this show. It had its moments of cheesiness but on the whole I liked it. The one thing that drove me nuts though is how under utilized the characters were.

So many times Stephanie could have taken care of bad guys easily. In the pilot they show that she moves so fast even cars appear to be standing still. Also, she was moving at such speed that her coat's fabric belt smashed a side view mirror. Now imagine if she picked up a piece of rebar and whacked a bad guy with it while running? I don't think he would be getting back up anytime soon. With JJ being kidnapped; she could have just ran through the complex to look for him rather than mosey along slowly.

Also, speaking of him, JJ was the super genius. Once she knew that, why didn't she use his abilities to assist in her work? I'd think it would've made it quite a bit simpler. When they were suspecting Dr King, why not take Daphne to work and scan him? Also, once Daphne could push thoughts, I was surprised at how many times she didn't even try it. Like when the wanna be Wolverine guy was fighting her dad.

I still liked the show, but stuff like that drove me nuts. Oh, and another thing was how often they let people go who really should not be left walking. Like that electric guy, after coming after my family I'd be quite tempted to end the threat permanently once the guy was down. Also, how the hell did Stephanie not catch up to Xena? She wasn't that far away when the shots rang out and it wasn't long after that when Stephanie ran after her. Also, she had to threaten/torture the answers out of JJ. That means she didn't have an established time of departure, so it's unlikely the helo was just sitting there idling waiting for her. It takes time to fire up and launch a helo, giving Stephanie even more time to grab her.

Yea yea, it's a show and the bad guy has to get away to continue to be a threat, I know.. just annoys me lol.
