Surprise to see so much hate for this show in here!

I came here to see if someone knows what will happen to the remaining 4 episodes that were not aired and I was really surprised to see all the hate.

I understand why this show failed, it has a morally ambiguous protagonist who cheats on his wife and girlfriend and is a con man who takes advantage of working class people. American in the middle of an economic crisis don't want to watch this kind of show on network tv.

Despite that, I don't get why some people keep saying bad things about it. Life is not black and white. It's gray. It's okay if you don't like the theme of the show and don't identify with it, but don't go around saying it's bad.

It's superbly written, acted and directed. It's interesting. It doesn't have a formula. I just wish we were given at least a 13-episode season. Let's hope those four episodes see the light of day.

Hi rikardo-leal,

I visit the board for the same reason, to find out if the remaining episodes will ever be aired. I've noted that a number of the posters who were the most critical admitted they were turned off by the premise and never watched it. I agree with you about the direction, acting and writing. I don't watch most network shows because of their formulaic nature but I always give them a chance before I dismiss them.

Everyone involved with Lone Star including the very talented James Wolk are now working on other projects. I wish them success in the future.

There were only ever two episodes shown. Then it was canceled and taken off air immediately. They never showed the rest of the episodes.

Back on topic, I don't know how anybody could hate this show. I thought it was one of the best shows on air when it was running. It remains to this day as one of my favorites, even with only two episodes. The concept, the acting, direction was perfect. I absolutely loved everything about it. And I am glad Kyle Killen got another chance with Awake. Hopefully, third time is the charm whenever he decides to give TV another shot.

Hi NeoBasch,

I liked Lone Star too and enjoyed Awake through its brief run. Kyle Killen is very highly regarded in the industry so I know he will go on to other things. By the way, James Wolk will be back this summer in Political Animals on the USA network. It's shaping up to be a terrific show.
